Schedule A is the form that your itemized deductions will be entered on.  You are posting from online Deluxe.  You do not have "FORMS" mode in online software so you cannot access the forms directly.  If you enter your itemized deductions such as your mortgage interest paid, property taxes paid in 2017, etc. the software will complete the Schedule A as part of your tax return.

You only get schedule A if all your deductions are more than the Standard Deduction.
For 2017 the standard deduction amounts are:
Single 6,350 + 1,550 for 65 and over
HOH 9,350 + 1,550 for 65 and over
Joint 12,700 + 1,250 for each 65 and over
Married filing Separate 6,350 + 1,550 for 65 and over

STANDARD DEDUCTION
Your itemized deductions have to be more than your standard deduction before you will see a change in your tax owed or tax refund.  The deductions you enter do not necessarily count “dollar for dollar;” many of them are subject to meeting  tough thresholds—medical expenses, job-related expenses, casualty and theft losses, for example, must meet thresholds that are pretty hard to reach.  The software program uses all the IRS rules that apply to the expenses you enter, and it tells you if you have enough to use your itemized deductions or if using the standard deduction is more advantageous for you. Here are the Standard Deductions for 2017
Your standard deduction lowers your taxable income.  It is not a refund
2017 Standard Deductions
Single    $6350  (65 or older + $1550)
Married Filing Separately   $6350  (65 or older +  $1250)
Married Filing Jointly           $12,700  (65 or older + $1250@)
Head of Household $9350  (65 or older + $1550)

Look on line 40 of your Form 1040 to see your itemized deductions (or your standard deduction)

Right, and some deductions (such as Medical) do not count at 100%.

If you have a legitimate reason for using Turbo Tax for self prepared returns you would be much happier using the Desktop program that you install on your computer.  It has more features than the online version. And you can see and enter into the actual forms among other advantages.  <a rel="nofollow" target="_blank" href="Https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/">Https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/...>
