I need your help, too, Lena. Exactly the same issue here. I couldn't even find this allocate federal adjustments to income page following your instruction. My token number is 840717. Thank you!
@LenaH Sorry forgot to @ you. If it helps, the numbers/entries I was not able to correct was $300. I was using standard deduction and $300 was the amount I was allowed to put in 10B on Form 1040. Later I switched to itemized deduction, and the federal review suggested me to put 0 in 10B. I assume that somehow this change didn't get automatically carried over to the state return, and I can't seem to change them on IT-360.1 myself now. Thanks for your help in advance again.
Hello,
Can you assist me with my NYS return. I am having the IT-360 entry error.
My token number is: 841923
Thank you!
David
Got this problem solved via customer service. They suggested me to delete the form IT-360.1 TP, and I re-entered information related to NYC residency status and income/expense allocations based on our part-time residency. I suppose some new IT-360.1 forms were generated and, problem solved!
Thanks!
you got it, good luck!

Hi, I need help changing Line 19, Column A-NY Adjustments on form IT-360.1
Token number is: 858867
Hi LenaH,
I'm having some issues with the IT360.1 form as well.
I followed your instructions for help. My Token number is 861369.
I'm running into the exact same problem that you had! When I go back to my NY State taxes I can't even find the IT-360.1 document to delete/re-enter. Been on hold with customer service for over an hour - do you know where exactly I can find the IT-360.1 doc?
This document is in regards to New York City residency. It will be part of your New York tax return paperwork if you printed that out. If not, you can take a look at your entries in the New York section of your return.
@john-l-kerr1 Right before you submit the whole thing for e-file, you should be able to download all the forms in one PDF. I found my IT-360.1 there. The customer service rep told me to go to the tools section on the left of the screen and navigates to a function that allowed me to delete a form. There I deleted my IT-360.1, and re-did the new york residency section. Problem solved.
Hi, I want to know what do we put in the description box?
It depends on the additions to or subtractions from your recomputed federal adjusted gross income (AGI) that were entered in Column A as if you were a New York City or Yonkers resident the entire year. What amount is it specifically asking you to describe in the description box? The amount it lists would represent the description that you have to enter in IT-360.1.
For more information, please see Instructions for Form IT-360.1
I'm also encountering this issue for New York State IT-360.1, Line 6c:
I entered the same amount for Federal (column A) and NYC (column B) since my income was earned while living in NYC. I never resided in Yonkers as a resident or nonresident so that entry should be blank or 0, but it keeps telling me to fix this. I tried deleting the form and starting over but the same result. Any help is greatly appreciated!
