How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on 2023 - Wages Paid Schedule C?

Adding on to madmetals post.  For anyone that has used H&R, did you have to do it because of Schedule C line 46?  If so, were you successful?  Thank you in advance.

Yes. And as of today I gave up on TT and filed with H&R. They have the form ready.

This is a lie. The date keeps being pushed out a week every other day. This needs to be resolved ASAP. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now. Now the day has been pushed to March 1, 2024

Lies all lies. The date had been pushed to March 1 now. No other software is having this issue.

How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on 2023 - Wages Paid Schedule C?

I am having the same problem. Every day when I log into TurboTax to see if it has bee updated, the "we should have this ready" date continues to be 1 week in the future.

I don't want to claim any of the "employee credits for small businesses and farms" that are listed as the issue being updated. How can I just turn that claim off so the form processes?

How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on 2023 - Wages Paid Schedule C?

I just filed a refund request for this year's TurboTax filing over this issue. At least I think I did - the on-screen refund request form said there was an error, but I received an email saying the refund request was received and it will be reviewed in the next 5-7 days.

We will see what happens.

I can tell you exactly what happened because I did the same thing on Wednesday...an hour later they sent me a denial email saying because it's TT online, it's not eligible for a refund. What a freaking joke!

They did the same to me - with no way to escalate/request a management review. I disputed the charge with my credit card issuer and among other things sent the screenshot of the TurboTax start button that says "Start for free. Pay only when you file."

I'm going to try the same thing with my CC company

Same issue here. This is absurd.

If you have a software issue, at least have someone address it on your help forum. Just another example of large corporation arrogance. Take your money and f-you.

@CatinaT1  Clearly you don't have a clue either. It now says March 2nd. Explain to me what the issue is which will affect my return. I have had no special credits in 35 years of business, I'm sure I don't have any this year, just let me efile at my own peril.

I just talked to a very nice and seemingly insightful person at TT.   His name was Alexander and he took the time to look through their communications.  He said the form attached to the line for wages paid is the problem and according to his communications, it should be ready 2/28/24...so we'll see.  I'm inclined to believe him since he was asking questions about the message etc.  I guess we'll find out when we update on 2/29/24. (fingers crossed!)

I wish! I spoke to someone on chat for 30’mintues this week and they said the new date is March 6th. They keep pushing the date out. H&R Block does not have this problem and if this isn’t fixed by March 6 I’m switching to H&R Block. This is unacceptable.

This saga continues to amaze me at the total disregard for their customers TT has.  What contempt!!  This will be my last time using TT, after close to 20 years of doing so.   They just continue to hide behind the blog, never address the issue.  If it is just the form. how difficult can it be to update 1 form?  After many weeks it is still not fixed with no end in site.  At least TT should update the statement in TT as to the date it will be ready, if the 28th is accurate.  But I wonder if they stated the 28th of Feb or they have 11 others to choose from.

How do I resolve a Check This Entry error on 2023 - Wages Paid Schedule C?

We just spent 40 minutes on the phone with TT, did screen share, and the rep talked to 2nd tier support.  The date updated form 3/1 to 3/4 while we were on the phone with them (LOL).  The second tier support insisted that the date it will be ready is 3/3. I think it was pretty clear that she was simply reading the date off the screen, especially after seeing that one of you recently was told 2/28, and another 3/6. They aren't even looking into this for us.  The rep on the phone said they had a similar issue (constantly moving dates, customers unable to file) with the 1099-R and that did eventually get addressed, but that she didn't know about this one till today. She said to give it a few more days and then to request a refund, although didn't seem confident that it would be "approved". She did say to try to upload the return back to the web-based software from the desktop software and see if that fixed it....I was like, wouldn't 2nd tier support...know that?  I guess we will give it a try and report back if it works, although I doubt it. Definitely considering just spending a few hours redoing it all in H&R Block and then contesting all the TT charges with my credit card company, because of course it had me pay for 2 state return filing fees before letting me know that I couldn't bypass employee wage credits (which we CLEARLY don't qualify for - I know because I pulled IRS form 5884 and checked).  Fun stuff.
