I want to enter self employment expenses without purchases without purchasing turbotax "self employment"

Sorry, You can only enter Self Employment Income into Online Deluxe or Premier but if you have any expenses you will have to upgrade to the Self Employed version.

If you don't want to upgrade to the Online Self Employed version you can buy a lower Desktop version.  All the Desktop programs have the same forms.  You just get more help and guidance in the higher versions.  You will need a full Windows or Mac computer to install it on.  And the Desktop programs have more features and advantages over the online versions.

You can move your Online file to the Desktop program and continue without paying for Online or needing to reenter your info.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).
