!099-R box 14 says EXEMPT. How do I enter this on my forms?

As a NYS retiree my pension is state tax exempt. How do I enter this information on my 1040-SR?

When you are entering your 1099-R into the system you will enter all of the information from boxes 1 through 11 so that your federal return is correct. When you get to the state information for boxes 14 to 16 you will leave that blank. TurboTax will not calculate any state taxes due for the amounts on the form.
