I received the message Take Action: Your refund is delayed Reference code 1541. Never seen that in the history of filing my taxes ! Anybody else seen this?

From what I understand they are going to request your W2 and photo Id and SSN card. That’s what my TA told me. That’s what I’m faxing tomorrow to them because I as well went under review. It wouldn’t hurt to have that together. They gave me March 4th as well, which is why I got a TA involved.

Tax agent is TA I assume? This is ridiculous. When I called the woman told me first that it was being held because of the PATH ACT, and secondly it looked like my account was under review. She couldn’t tell me why just that I had to wait for a letter? When will the letters come? I need this money! I want to know what’s wrong so I can fix it.!!

TA is a tax advocate. They help you if you get a delay in your refund because of offsets etc. For those of you who got theirs this week they could have been an early filer. Anyone the 28th and beyond seems to be dealing with the eitc/ctc delay ATM. I assume updates will hit Friday or Saturday morning. No need to check multiple times a day

It's a game of cat and mouse we all gotta sit back and wait on updates and letters. I'm waiting on somebody anybody out of this forum to say they actually received their dd in their account. I don't wanna hear anymore bad news, it's very disturbing.

Checked at 6:15a this morning still, “there has been a delay with your refund. Reference number 1541, will call again at 7a, it’s been 24 days

,  is just got off the phone with irs.now rheumatoid are telling me, it’s under review and they send out a letter stating that, and it may be 45 days after 3/4 before I get my money, I feel like crying

It can't be a coincidence that all of us is under review, or maybe they just telling us that. I don't know, but I hate that we're going through this and I wish everyone the best of luck. I'm turning off my notifications from this until I get some type of good news.

@toccorap29 I said the same thing, maybe they are just saying that and we will all see our money by 2/27, I called my tax preparer and he said it won’t take that long, will have by 2/27, it’s so frustrating

Hi I am new to this thread but have been searching for answers why I am getting that message as well.  I filed with EIC but I also had my identity stolen a few years back so I have a PIN that I have to enter every time I file.  I am thinking that has something to do with it.  I, too, filed using TurboTax.  I started a new job so I am thinking that was another denominator.  Trying to think positive 🙂

I just called again . Now being told I was pulled for review . And to give them 45 days from March 4th then of nothing call back April 19th.  Wtf .... I might receive a letter I might not if not call back. Like really.  No clue wtf is going on this is a joke.
