Look closely--the new "postcard size" Form 1040 is supposed to be two half pages--front and back--but when you print it out, both sides print on one page.  Do you see the black arrow pointing to the words "Sign here" in the middle of the page?

If you are printing and filing your federal return by mail, you sign page 1 of your Form 1040.  The new form is actually 2 pages, with 6 additional "schedules".  For more information on the new Form 1040, see: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-1040
