Yes, any stimulus payments you missed will be issued as part of your tax refund based on your 2020 tax return whether it is your first time filing or 50th. The stimulus payments will come in the form of a Recovery Rebate Credit on your tax return. However you choose to receive your refund, the credit will be added to it.
You are eligible for the stimulus payment if you are US citizen, have a valid social security number, cannot be claimed as a dependent on someone's 2020 tax return, and have income under $75,000.
Here is a link with more information on the Recovery Rebate Credit.
Hey ! Thanks ! So i already filed but had no idea i could claim my 2 stimulus checks i have not received. Does this mean i have to wait until next year to claim them? Or will they automatically come to my house in a form of check since that’s how i asked to receive my taxes
You will need to amend your return to add it to your 2020 return.
If you filed, it is like dropping it into a mailbox - you cannot get it back.
You'll have to wait until your return is either accepted or rejected.
If rejected, you can make any necessary changes.
If accepted, you'll need to amend your return.
To avoid unnecessary delays, do not amend until your original return has been fully processed.
You can e-file your 2020 amended federal tax return, but most states require amendments to be printed and filed by mail.
Allow 16 weeks for processing.
See this TurboTax FAQ for help with amending.
You can check the status of your amended return here, but allow 3 weeks after filing for it to show up.
If you did not receive your first and/or second stimulus payment or if the amount received is not correct, you can claim it on your 2020 tax return as the Recovery Rebate Credit.
In TurboTax Online, to claim the Recovery Rebate credit please do the following:
Sign into your account and continue from where you left off

Follow the interview
TurboTax will determine whether you are entitled to any additional stimulus
Any stimulus amount remaining due to you will show as a credit on line 30 of your form 1040.
