If you are getting a tax refund the refund is on line 20 of your Form 1040.
If you owe tax to the IRS the amount you owe is on line 23.
Look at your tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the screen. Click on Tools. Click on View Tax Summary. Click on Preview my 1040 on the left side of the screen.

What does it say on the "refund monitor" on the screen?
Look at your Form 1040. What do you see on line 20? Line 23?
Line 20 is a refund
Line 23 is tax due that you have to pay to the IRS

What does the TurboTax summary show you? What does it say in Tax Home?
What are your fees? Are you having them deducted from your federal refund? If so, then do some math.

If the refund-O-meter says tax due that means you OWE the IRS ...
