Update:
turbo tax Facebook page two days in a row said they were looking into it then 2.5-3 hours later prompted me to send an email with certain information
Saying please hold for 3 hours at a time to buy time.
I’m pretty sure they lied about direct deposit because mine was suppose to be refunded via direct deposit and when I called it said it was coming as a check and when I asked why they said because they no direct deposit information was sent. I then called them out on the lie because as we spoke I was looking at my refund status on SBTPG website and it showed the last few digits of my banking info proving they had it. They then said they had no idea then that’s just what was written in the system.
I went ahead and filed a BBB complaint. I called them this morning and they were no help. He just said he didn't know why there is a hold or what caused it. He stated they received our license pictures and are processing them, and to call back Monday. I asked if we will receive our money via direct deposit or check and of course no answer for that. So BBB it is. Someone needs to be held accountable for all of the issues we all are having.
Did you get that resolved because it has been saying the same thing for me and I don’t know what else to do or who to call?
In this public forum, we do not have access to any information regarding refund processing. It would be necessary to try contacting TPG for additional information. You can also check out this TPG Help Article to check on your refund.

turbo tax as the company we worked with should have some dedication to their customers and assist us in getting answers.

Same situation I'm going thru but sbtgp says check was sent on 28th but website still saying disbursement method as reserved. I have contacted a lawyer and am filing a lawsuit against sbtgp and turbo tax
I haven't received any email,any notification or any refund. I am sick to death of hearing " I apologize we're working on solving it. No y'all gots y'all's money. This is bullcrap. But my lawyer says that the sbtgp is fraudulently holding my money and turbo tax is fraudulently obtaining money bye allowing it and not doing anything
I also just filed a complaint with the Attorney General consumer report in my state against SBTPG
I've filed a complaint with the BBB. Next step is talking to my attorney. There is no legal reason for TPG Bank that I've never heard of to be holding our money. There is no lie they can tell that will excuse this criminal behavior. This is cold and heartless we've been through enough because of this virus and various reasons we need our money now. Who are you that you think you can do this to us and get away with it. The audacity of you!!
That is a lie they do hold funds the confirmed they received my money from the irs on 02/18/22 the sent a direct deposit to my bank on02/23/2022! I have the conversation recorded! Then it went to wrong account number and was sent back to them on 02/24/2022 and they still have not released my fund in check format and today is 03/06/22 they said it would take 48 hours once my funds were returned they took additional money out of my return without my consent! I called on 03/04/22 they Apologized and said it would be mailed that day and it still has not! They are liars and Turbo Tax should be ashamed! I am never using turbo tax again
Absolutely appalling! No way to contact a real human at SBTPG. holding refunds for "unusual activity" but taking their cut of the fees! Sickening. Will never used TT again.
Hey everyone, its me again
Heres a new update for my saga
On March 1 after being told nobody actually requested a trace number on Feb 22nd ( even though they said they did), they said they set up another request for a trace and to call back in 48 hours. 48 hours later im told it takes 3-5 business days.
So today on business day 4 I called back - They asked ME for the request number. Nobody told me a request number, they set it up they should have it. SBTPG stated they can not do anything if I don't have that number 🙂 ........
I personally have received the infamous trace number from the receiving bank and am on hold again. Maybe I'll reach some sort of conclusion soon.
Zero help from Turbo Tax and Zero help from SBTPG. Wonderful products. Looks like this was my last year using Turbo tax after 9 years.
They had my funds since February 19, 2022. I STILL have not received ANYTHING!!!! So yeah…they are holding our money for some reason.
