Why did you use the Online version if you bought the Desktop program? Sorry you can't apply the Desktop CD/Download program purchase to the Online version. They are separate prices and work different. You have to pay for online and try to get a refund for the Desktop program. Or switch to your program.
If you already started in the Online version you can move your return to the Desktop program even without paying for Online. If you already paid for the Online version you can contact them to give you the program download.
First download the .tax file from the Online version,
Then see, How to Switch to Desktop,
After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - New)
Then you just OPEN the .tax2021 file, go up to File-Open. You don't import or transfer it.
What? If you downloaded the desktop software why did you use online software? You cannot pay for the online software using the license code for the desktop software. If you used online, then you made a mistake and did not use the program you paid for.
You appear to be posting from online Self-Employed software instead of the desktop CD/download software that the license code is for. If you are using online, you are using the wrong program. You need to switch to the desktop software to get what you paid for. You have to download it, update it and open it up from your own hard drive to use it.
