Why haven't I received my federal taxes refund?

You have not mentioned how long ago you filed or if you know if the return was accepted.

When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax.  The first one will say that your return was submitted.  The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected.  If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?

https://www.irs.gov/refunds           Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?”

If the return was accepted:

TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 20a of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To track your state refund:

On the IRS site you are also offered the use of an app called IRS2Go

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.

Why haven't I received my federal taxes refund?

most turbo tax customers didn't get the insurance part of their taxes sent to irs wrong. you need to contact irs and see if that is the problem so the can send the proper papers for you to fill out and send back. I filled my taxes in feb and should have received my refund at the end of feb. when I didn't I contacted irs and found out turbo tax never included paperwork for health insurance even though I filled out right. irs said thousands or more customers this happened to so they are having to go through them at least twice once they receive paperwork from us. its been another 5 months and I still haven't received my refund and turbo taxes FREE FREE FREE ended up being 120.00 that they keep sending me notice to pay... Pay for what? me to wait for my refund and fill out more paperwork to irs
