Where are you looking for the word "accepted?"
Did you e-file? Did you click a big orange button that said “Transmit my returns now?”
When you e-file your federal return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first one will say that your return was submitted. The second email will tell you if your federal return was accepted or rejected. If you e-filed a state return, there will be a third email to tell you if the state accepted or rejected your state return.
First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

If the IRS accepted it, what does it say here?
Or does your account say “Ready to Mail?” Or “Rejected?” Or “Printed?”
FROM THE IRS WHERE’S MY REFUND SITE:

How it works
Where's My Refund shows your refund status:
Yes I have received it and it's processing and I don't know why it says I owe, I already paid it with a credit card and it's already been charged on my card.
I want to start taking my social security next month so I need to apply this month and the reason I'm waiting is I want to get this year in on my social security statement because my benefit will probably go up some and I don't want to file for it until I see if it goes up so I can get that extra amount of money.
@jimstamos "I'm not sure why it says I owe"
What is "it" that says you owe? Do you mean your TurboTax account?
TT does not update after your return has been accepted. Your account will always show the result of the return you prepared using the software. TurboTax never knows if you received your refund —or how, when or even if you paid tax due. Your proof that you paid your tax will be your own bank/credit card records.
So even though I paid the amount I owed in income taxes after I finished the return, when I reopened TurboTax to see if my return was accepted it still shows you owe $...
I just wish it would get accepted then social security will update my account
@jimstamos Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.
The amount owed shown on the TurboTax Tax Home web page will remain since TurboTax is never notified when the taxes were paid.
@jimstamos Where are you looking for the word "accepted?" If you e-filed your tax return, TurboTax will tell you that the e-file was accepted. You are not going to find the word "accepted" on the IRS site. And if you owed tax due, there is not going to be anything on the IRS refund site.

Sorry I meant to say it's been sent it and it is still in progress.
It's obviously taking longer than 24 to 48 hours it's been a week.
My past returns were accepted within a few days I'm sure all of those staff being let go didn't help
