Can anyone tell me why I have received my state taxes yet and mailed both federal and state together I received the bigger amount first but my state is still not available why

When you say you "mailed both federal and state together" do you mean you actually put them in the same envelope?  If so, then the state return went to the wrong place and ended up in a shredder.  Or do you mean you mailed them to the correct separate addresses on the same day?  They come from completely separate treasuries so the refunds cannot arrive at the same time.

To directly answer your direct question of "Can anyone tell me why...?" the answer to that question is "No, not really."  We can make guesses of course, but that's all they are.  This is a user to user forum.  Nobody here can see your income tax return, your computer screen nor do we have any access to your records at the federal or state level.

You might try calling your states income tax agency and see if they can provide any insight.

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities.  You cannot expect them to arrive at the same time.
