Hello everyone well I don't know if 18 days is the fastest time but its still better than 21 days or more. My 2019 tax return was accepted on the 13th of Jan and my current expected deposit date is set for the 5th of feb 2020. Note I did not claim any dependents on my taxes this makes a difference in having a longer wait time for your returns to hit your bank. Thanks, turbo tax for a great 6 years of doing business.
If you are referring to the bar displayed in turbo tax then you may like to know the bar at where is my refund shows a completely different status. As of right this moment my bar on turbo tax only shows im accepted but the actual status provided by the Irs shows that my refund is scheduled to be deposited in the next few days. So basically using the IRS website is the most accurate resource to know exactly what process your return is in.
The IRS states that most refunds will be issued in less than 21 days, as long as the return doesn't require further review. Please click this IRS link to learn more. ttps://www.irs.gov/individuals/refund-timing
How do I get to the tool on IRS website that gives you your expected deposit date?
@GarciaAdam702 TurboTax gives you an estimated date for receiving your refund based on a 21 day average from your date of acceptance, but it can take longer.
Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 20 of your Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

On the IRS site you are also offered the use of an app called IRS2Go

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, that will take some extra time, while the third party bank handles the refund processing.
