What if my credit karma money account is closed? Can i still get my tax advance sent to my savings ?

Credit Karma doesn’t help. I don’t know why you keep recommending that. I got my check, tried to cash it at Walmart because I’ve been waiting three weeks now for my tax refund and they couldn’t read the check. Also had an extra 30 deducted from my refund because they had to cut the check when CK is the problem and Turbo Tax is doing business with them. This is awful. Also my bank is holding the check for 5 days. How is this legal? How is it that Turbo Tax or CK isn’t taking any responsibility in this, you all are just passing the buck and it’s frustrating.

I received my check from MVb bank Friday deposited check they released funds next day today I’m negative because not the check was submitted as Suspicious activity  ! Wdhhh this is the freaking worst

This number worked ! It tracked my refund  and credit karma took the advance they gave me as well. A check was sent out to me feb 28th so let’s see

I am dealing with this right now, I was told my account is closed, I don’t know where my return is and why the account was closed, this is absolutely ridiculous

If your account was closed, the refund will be returned back to the IRS and they will issue a check in the mail.

Did you ever get your check? I was told the same thing and was supposed to have received it over a week ago with nothing.

Don’t listen to the automated message. I put the number to call in my previous post. I was in the same position and I already have my federal check sent from GREENDOT. NOT the irs. Now to wait for my STATE. TurboTax really messed up this year by doing business with the scan artist of CREDIT KARMA.

So I called that exact number you posted 2 weeks ago, they said I should have my check on the 14th and still nothing. So I called again today and have to wait another 48 hours for an email to stop payment to be sent yet another check. This has been such a headache and both turbo tax and credit karma will never have my business again, just due to the complication this has caused.

@bskelton9  oh no that sucks sorry! Mine actually came that’s why I gave the advice. Smh definitely doing taxes elsewhere next year !.

Credit Karma money account was opened when I did my taxes and then the state taxes were deposited.. I began to use it and then a week later they closed my account and couldn't tell me how to get the 863.03 that was still in the account. They said it was transferred to an external bank but I never transferred the funds. So now I am out 863.06 plus my federal taxes are supposed to be deposited there in a few days. It is definitely a scam and I will report them as well.

Sounds like we need to hire a lawyer and file a class action lawsuit and get our fees we paid filing for this with interest back.

I got a refund advance last year to credit karma last year they closed my account out the blue and check was mailed from the irs. What will happen to the refund advance they weren’t able to get the advance back because they closed it.
