What if my credit karma money account is closed? Can i still get my tax advance sent to my savings ?

If your credit karma account is closed, then it is automatically declined.

Well my taxes went into my money spend account even though I was told it was closed and they couldn't re open it and now I have no idea how to access my tax return because turbo tax said I wouldnt need to amend my return since they shouldn't have been able to deposit it and credit karma said " we might be able to send you a check" so it looks like they're just trying to scam people by saying the account was in the negative so we had to close it when the account cant even be overdrawn, I'll be contacting the Better business bureau and I suggest you do the same

The IRS should not be able to deposit your refund in a closed account. Once your tax return has been filed, there is no way to update your refund method. If Credit Karma closed your account, they will most likely reject the deposit and the IRS will mail your refund check to the address on your tax return. Yeah I'm telling you right now even if credit karma tells you that closed your account they didnt I have it in writing them saying it was ckoed over 3 weeks ago and today at 1:54pm my refund was deposited into a so called "closed account" so yea I'd love to know why credit karma is lying to people about closing their accounts.

This also happened to me and it is a scam. My account was never overdrawn and my refund was supposed to be in my account on the 23rd and I still don’t have access to my funds. How can you close an account knowing it’s pending a tax return? I’ll for sure be contacting the BBB. I tried calling you and was told there’s multiple complaints about this and I tried calling credit karma and they literally read off of a script and never give you a direct answer. I will never use turbo tax again after this and I’ve been doing my taxes with you for 12 years. Awful. I’m a single mom, I’m counting on that return.

Literally did the same exact thing to me I contacted bbb on Feb 23rd about this I called irs and confirmed check was deposited and accepted with credit karma spend account after it had been closed Feb 1 out of the blue

I have been fighting with Credit Karma since February 7th, after receiving a email that they will be closing my account but didn’t list why. They closed my account on February 9th for no reason. They keep telling me I’ll receive an email as to why. Never have received it, and I’ve check my junk/spam folders. My funds from the IRS was sent 2/23. TurboTax told me to contact Credit Karma. Credit Karma tells me to contact TurboTax. No one can tell me where my money is or how I’m going to receive it. First time using TurboTax in many years, and it will be my last time.

Same exact thing happened here !! CK let fraudulent charges goes through my checking account and overdrawn me 1000 but i got it corrected but they refused to reopen it but now my state tax return has been deposited into closed account and CK ssid theres been no such deposit!?!?

My refund was said to be deposited on the 23rd of February but the account was closed on the 7tb of February after reading the fine print on turbo tax I called green dot bank they handle deducting your fees out of ur refund before they make the funds available to your account because credit karma had closed the account they mailed a paper check to my address that was on my return

Are they sending you your refund via check, or you already have received it? 

If we are all having the same problem, is the solution you're saying to call green dot bank?
