What does "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." Exactly mean?

I filed 1/15 had to verify my identity for whatever reason finally was able to do that last week now I'm just waiting hopin to get a date

Yes ...your 2019 taxes are being still being processed because the IRS has been on furlough til just this week (they are slowly coming back).  What that means to you is they haven't shared the info with the treasury Dept who issues the stimulus. Therefore they go to your 2018 taxes in which you did not file. So until they process your 2019 taxes ....you are not eligible.

Mine says the samething and I filed begining of Feb still shows processing with no update but got a letter will be getting and check that never came in mail. Nor have I got my stimulus check. It gets frustrating.

Did my taxes through turbo tax end of January and still says processing and can't speak to anyone at it's just says still processing

Hi, just wanted to let u know I file the same way head of household (yet still married) I filed back in February and have still not received my federal return, but I did receive my my stimlus $1700,so there is hope for you! Good luck 🙂

By chance did you have a 1095A you need to file. That happened to me, I file in February . I submitted the 1095A and 8962 still have not recieved mine. I did get my stimulus

I had the same problem but went to the stimulus portal and update my info i didn't have a 2019 to file so a lot of the question i did not have to answer, a week later i went to the get my payment and i had a date for it to be mailed to the address i put on file.

I filed 2018 and 2019, for 18 i received the refund but for 19 it still says processing. Do you know if they wait until that is done processing since they received it or do they just go back to 2018 and go off of that? They have my DD, I updated it 4/15
