What does "Your tax return is still being processed. A refund date will be provided when available." Exactly mean?

I got my transcript today. No tax codes etc....JUST SHOWS NO THERE'S NO RECORD OF A TAX RETURN FILED.  And Turbo tax site says it's been accepted. From what I've been told by aunt who's a pretty **bleep** good accountant is that once taxes submitted to irs it's out of turbotax's hands and they don't know anything more other than when the IRS notifies them that the return has been approved and sent. I  don't really think that's a good idea. Maybe they should communicate better together as people really depend on their taxes..Especially during this pandemic time wouldn't you think? Theres no tax code and i can't even register to open account online seeings how i dont have student loan, car loan, credit card or mortgage. It just says on page 2 of transcript that the IRS has no Record of a return filed for me. Kinda strange as this is year 9 with tt......Same filing status and NEVER has it been this late. In past 2 weeks MAX!!!!

Hi my name is Erica villa and I sent my refund into the IRS back k in Feburary. My return keeps saying that it is being processed and there is no date available at this time. I'm worried something could be wrong with my return? I filed online myself with HR Block and thru that it claims everything is good. PLEASE HELP as my family and I are counting on this money. I did get the EIC this year and I know that takes longer but I've never waited this long. Ever!

So what you are saying is that the IRS has my tax return still being processed means they might have to correct some things. If there’s a mistake. Cause there’s probably is I had to do taxes to claim the first and second stimulus checks that I never received and I’m also eligible for all 3 stimulus checks that I never received any of them. I’m hoping they will send me a letter about it, instead of leaving me in the dark.

My return was Pending for about 8 weeks then finally it was approved but IRS did send an email to me saying they made corrections to my return and refund . Also they sent a letter stating the exact same reasons they had to correct something , but the something in the letter were basically 4 possible reasons .  I did understand how 2 of those reasons would have caused IRS to make the corrected adjustment to my refund . The adjustment was not that much so I won’t pursue it . I’m happy to finally have received it .  It’s a waiting game , some short ,some longer . Thank God mine was on the shorter side .  Best of luck .

Well that’s good for you. I’m still waiting on return to be approved by the IRS. I’m hoping it happens soon. Maybe they are fixing mine. Since I didn’t get the first, second and third stimulus checks that I never received and I’m qualified for all 3 of them.

Were all waiting. Ordered a transcript by mail which I got yesterday and it reads no return on record filed. Yet I go to tt website and it claims taxes were accepted on the 13th of February.  I spoke to the IRS AWHILE AGO  and they said if I didn't hear anything back within 10 weeks......Which will be the 22nd of April....call them back. Bull**bleep**. If we owed they'd be coming after their money.

Exactly. I know tt has nothing to do with it after their filed. Just dont get why tt site claims it's been accepted and transcript letter shows no return on record filed.  And the wmr site don't work. Keeps reading same thing. Your refund is still being processed and a refund date will be given when available

@smitty152473 The IRS is so severely backlogged that things are not working and updating the way they would during normal times.   So transcripts are not necessarily up to date, the Where's my Refund site is erratic---it is a mess.   Blame the pandemic, blame Congress for changing tax laws in mid-tax season, blame the fact that the IRS is understaffed and using old computers, blame the fact that the job of processing tax returns was diverted to processing millions of stimulus checks three times in the past year.....

I've received no letters informing me of anything. It is now 4-17-2021.  (54 days since filling)

Hi there I filed my 2019 return in February of last year I just did get it in the mail today April 16 2021 I e been waiting quite some time after phone calls and sending papers in to them just be patient with them that's all you can do
