My goodness,
My father passed away 10 months ago. We canceled the auto renewal. That wasn't easy. Mother still getting bills via snail mail from Turbo Tax. Be a good son and take care of that. OK, sign on website, chat, the robot won't let me talk to a human being. Finally offers to have someone call me. They do but they hang up. Back to the robot chat. Finally offers a phone number for me to call and gives ID # for this issue. Call the 800#, give the ID#, the robot over and over again asks questions. I say "terminate account," "cancel" - even drop an F bomb to see if that makes an impression on the robot. Finally gives me a human. Someone at home I'm sure using a cheap speakerphone. It's been 15 minutes. She keeps asking the same questions and telling me she's going to take care of this. She's trying to get in touch with someone else but nothing. Just noise coming from the phone. I'm about to give up. This shouldn't be so hard to do. And it certainly shouldn't be so difficult to get around an F bomb chat or phone robot. It's almost enough for me to quit using TurboTax myself.

Ok ... if you cancelled the auto renew and the CC info is no longer in the system (cards really should be cancelled/closed and if mom was on the account then a new account in her name only should be established) then you can ignore the junk emails that are sent. Call them spam and they will go away naturally.
You cannot cancel or close the TT account itself ... instead it will go dormant naturally.
