Hi I filed everything online same as last year but this time they are asking me to print out forms and mail it. Why do I have to print and mail my taxes when I already filed online?

First, be certain that your e-filed return has been accepted. Use the info below to check the status of your e-filed return.
How do I check my e-file status?
Most often, e-filed returns are complete (once accepted by the IRS) and don't require anything to be mailed. Occasionally, however, the TurboTax program will instruct you to mail particular forms.
If the program is instructing you to mail forms, you'll also be given the proper mailing address. The TurboTax FAQ below may help clarify.
Do I need to mail anything after I've e-filed?

Hi I checked my status and it says ready to mail.
Sorry but Printed or Ready to Mail means you have to actually print out your tax return and mail it to the IRS or state yourself. So it has not been filed yet. And it will always say Ready to Mail. Turbo Tax doesn’t know if or when you mailed it and the IRS doesn’t update Turbo Tax when they get your mailed return. You can try to switch to efile. Click on Add a State to let you back into your retun.
Or if you want to mail a return from the Online version
When you mail a tax return, you need to attach any documents showing tax withheld, such as your W-2’s or any 1099’s. Use a mailing service that will track it, such as UPS or certified mail so you will know the IRS received the return. Don’t forget state.
Important! Mail Federal and State in separate envelopes and mail each year in separate envelopes.
4 weeks after mailing you can start checking IRS Where's my refund
