Stimulus check

I was a dependent in 2019 however I am no longer able to be claimed by someone else in 2020.  I saw where it was mentioned that if this is the case then I may receive a tax credit for the stimulus amount on my 2020 taxes.  Would this be as a credit to any tax owed or would I get that amount be refunded if I don't owe any taxes in 2020?
