If some of your federal refund was grabbed for the state debt then get a copy of the account transcript which will indicate this happened ... https://www.irs.gov/payments/view-your-tax-account

TurboTax nev er knows about offsets to your refund by the IRS or state.  After you file your tax return, no information is given to TT.  TurboTax never knows if you received your refund or whether you paid your tax due.  If the state offset your refund they would have sent you a letter explaining why they took part of your refund.  Only your own records will show this---TT will not have any way to verify it.

You can print out a copy of your tax return and compare it to your records of how much refund the state sent you.

You have to access your own account and/or  print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them.  Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax?  If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM THE IRS/STATE

TurboTax does not receive any information from the IRS or your state after your return was filed, so no one at TurboTax knows about a letter you received from the IRS or the state.

AUDIT SUPPORT

TurboTax has a special phone number for help with IRS/state tax letters, which will be easier than going through regular Customer Support.   At the page below, click on the blue button that says "Get Help from TurboTax Support".  Then it will ask you what tax year is your letter.  Then it will ask you what the letter concerns. Then it will show you the phone number during posted business hours.
