Should I amend my return?

Hello.  Last week I completed my taxes using turbo tax premier and then electronically filed my tax return.  In that return I received a residential energy credit of $70   That was for a low E energy efficient window that I had installed in my home last summer.  The cost of just the window was $700.00   When I entered the $700 in my tax return, turbo tax said I qualified for the residential energy credit equaling 10% of the cost of the window, which comes out to $70.    Where I messed up was I only included the cost of 1 window, when in fact I purchased two at a cost of $700 each.  Since I only entered one window in my return, does it make sense to amend my return to get that additional $70 credit?  I've never amened a return and if I have to pay another e-file fee or other fee's, it doesn't seem like it would be worth the trouble.  Your thoughts?   How should I handle this or should I just forget about it?  Thank you in advance for your help.

I wouldn't "forget about it". There is no additional "amended" tax preparation fee and no E-filing fee for your amended return, just your time.

Amending your return means filing a new form, 1040X. Since your refund amount will change with the addition of a window energy credit, it's appropriate to file an amended return.

To file an amended return, please see How to amend (change or correct) a return you've already.

Should I amend my return?

Thank you for the reply.  So I have located the form 1040X in my turbo tax premier software, but after looking it over I am at a loss on how to fill it out.  Is there a way TT Premier can do a step by step and walk me thru the 1040X.  If so, how do I go about doing that.   If not, does TT provide phone or chat help to walk me thru this 1040X and if so what is the charge for that?  Thank you once again and my apology for being such a pest.
