Should I amend my 2020 return if I did not include all stimulus money recieved?
Filed return on deadline and it states it was accepted. When tracking rerun it says it is being processed and tax help 152

Should I amend my 2020 return if I did not include all stimulus money recieved?
There is no need to amend your tax return. The IRS knows the stimulus payments that were sent to you and will adjust you tax return accordingly.

No do not amend. Do you have the wrong amount on 1040 line 30? The IRS will adjust it. They know they already sent it to you. That maybe why it's taking a long time to process.

If you have any amount other than zero on line 30 of the form 1040 and it is not the full amount of the credit you are eligible for then the IRS will be recalculating that line so all you have to do is wait.
