SBTPG holding my funds. ID verify website says it can’t find my information

Who will reach out??? I only found out when i notice the irs sent my refund but it wasn’t in my account by March 1st and i found sbtpg information and called the number and then found it was on hold....if it was some unrecognized activity why didn’t turbo tax reach out? They send all of these other emails and stuff out... i have used turbo tax and my same bank account info for the last 7 years and now it’s a problem... this is terrible

That was my 1st point of contention with TT and SBTPG. I was lucky to find out early since I was anxious about getting refund of $9400 and my wife is 39 wks pregnant. However, there has not been a single correspondence from TT and SBTPG that there has been hold or issue with my refund until now. Instead, TT sends me an annoying email congratulating me for refund (that is not here) and look forward to next filing year. Yup, good luck with me coming back to TT.

Wow that is so unbelievable!!! How did you get in touch with them? I'm so sorry you're going through this. I keep reading more stuff about them and I don't understand how they aren't under investigation. I've learned my lesson and will pay fees upfront from now on smh.

Cat has not returned. Guess it gave out hope too 😂 

All the automated system has dedicatedly ended my hold after 10 minutes, four different call attempts today.

Going to try to catch them right when they open tomorrow. 

I’m assuming nobody who has had this issue and come online to tell the tale has had it fixed yet. Honestly speaking who’s to tell if even TPG knows why our money is on hold. Congrats longhorn, we’re expecting our 2nd in May. This “unusual activity” hold has come at the worse possible time.

I had checked their site yesterday and saw this reserve thing under the distribution. So I called and got the automated response. But when I tried to upload my ID, it said client ID not found. So I just went ahead and emailed them my license as well as my husband's. Guess we will see what happens but it's all BS.

I'm having the same issue, and have tried all support methods TurboTax suggested!  Someone needs to fix this NOW!!!

I found a huge thread on fb from 6 years ago of a bunch of people having issues with SBTPG holding their refunds. Many said after a week, they finally were mailed a check. Some said after they filed a BBB complaint, the hold was released very quickly afterwards.

Thanks for the info Patty. There’s strength in numbers. Maybe if by next week nobody in this thread has made any progress we can coordinate mass complaint emails / tickets to BBB and TPG and see if that does anything 🤷🏽‍♂️

I didn’t even wait.... I just  file a complaint with the BBB.... because I’m pissed and something needs to be done expeditiously

No problem!! I think it is abhorrent they have no way of really speaking to someone to resolve issues. That's terrible business practices and Turbo Tax should really look for a different company to utilize because they will lose customers over this.
