I receieved letter from irs letter 4883c . verify identity. i called and all went good. now they say up to 9 weeks before i get return ?

@Douglas.jl1989 I  also i,d verified 3/31 and today instead of processing a refund date will be available as soon as possible , it says that they have received it and it is processing. I don't know if that's a bad or good think. This is the most annoying shit ever

I'm not seeing much commenting on here anymore. I got Thebes4883c letter and verified end of Feb. and I still haven't got an update. Just says it's processing blah blah...ugh anyone else still in the same boat I am?

I went to IRS to identify my self on April 12th my wmr hasn't changed from processing! Should I call ? I've been waiting for my return sense feb !

I verified my identity back on 02/21 and called yesterday and they referred me back to the verification department with my letter and had to go through the verification AGAIN and they told me that the original person that did the verification messed up and said that I did not file my returns in 2015...Now because of the ignorant jerk, I have to wait up to another 9 weeks.

But just to let everyone know, I called 5 different time within the first 9 weeks and was told the same thing over and over......"everything has been verified, we just have to wait the 9 weeks to complete".

Same boat @shebarne i have to wait another 9 week's for a refund when i already waiting the full 9 week's already with no ddd at all when it comes down to irs they dont do there job correct

same happened to me... had to re-verify after 9 weeks of waiting. Now going to take another 9 weeks.  Incompetency at its finest.  Either that or its a purposeful scam.  Do we have any rights as far as waiting this long?

@stacks97 when you call irs your only speaking to a representative and the only thing that they can do is check there system and provide you with the same information they are going to keep telling you reading there script that you verify and its been 9 weeks during that time frame a referral was sent out to have the hold on your refunds release to a different department and they never released it so again because you have to wait another 9 weeks they made another referral to have it closed out and your refund issue out to you i'm in the same boat with you another 9 weeks but i have 6 weeks left i'm very upset about the whole situation i work very hard and taxes every two weeks get taken out my pay check easy for them to do that but it's a hard time receiving my refund i have tried to contact a tax advocate couldnt get in contact with one and no return calls plus i still dont see no bars and no update since feb 2017 till now i haven't got my money keep me posted wish you luck

@sally-mae I reverfied April 17. May 18 wmr updated to we received your refund and it's being processed. Hopefully I get a ddd in a few weeks. 9 weeks for me will be June 19.

@sally-mae  what concerns me is they made it seem as if their inability to pull and process my return within the original 9 week period was just a one-off mistake and someone on their end dropped the ball.  But what i see in these threads - other people had the same issue.  So it seems they've done this with a large group of people and would already know to correct the process if they were aware of othesr having the same problem.  I supposed theres no way to know if they are just jerking us around and stalling to pay our refund.  I still haven't received any update on WMR nor a letter since i've verified the second time.  Seems like nothings happening.  I'll just have to sit and wait.  If i call what good is it if they just make up some bull as to why it wont process.  Guess I have no recourse.  What a country.

J like you all I got the same letter.  Been using TT for 3 years now n no problems.  I filed Jan 23 accepted the same day.  No movement of bars by Feb 20, no letters (so I thought)  so I called the IRS. Lady I spoke to said they sent one so I went to old address n there it was.  I I'd verified Feb.  20th they told me 9 weeks as we'll, well today is Feb 25th n my refund has been approved w date of?March 1st. Hopefully it won't take 9 weeks for you alls return!
