I received the message Take Action: Your refund is delayed Reference code 1541. Never seen that in the history of filing my taxes ! Anybody else seen this?

I faxed the stuff they requested this morning, now I’m waiting for my TA to call me Monday. I was assigned to someone today with a case #. So far they have been on top of things and really nice

Well I got through today, The woman I spoke to said they sent a CP05 letter out to me on the 14th and that my account is under a 45 day review. I can keep checking on “Where’s my refund” for updates to see if the status changed. But as of right now I’m supposed to sit tight and wait. Just what I wanted to hear today. Next year I will not be using turbo tax, it seems like everyone is getting delayed. Some of my friends who used H & R have already received their refunds. I’ve been claiming my son for 4 years and yes I’ve changed jobs but it is all entered correctly. So it’s severely irritating to file early and have to wait until probably April for a refund. Another month of being broke. Horray.

The irs gave me the TA number to call. My motor went out on my gmc about two weeks ago, and my job is at stake if I can’t get to work. So they says to get one involved. The TA was able to look at what the irs was looking at was able to tell me what they needed as of now.

Called to get a tax advocate and i spoke with a lady that asked me 15 questions. She put me on hold for 20 minutes and she told me ,she was switching me to someone else and if i get hung up on to call back and have this pin number she gave me. 3 hours of holding and WHAT DO YOU NO" I GOT HUNG UP ON!!  I still have no idea what i did wrong on my return but i will call early friday morning. I will keep you posted

I did not file through Turbo Tax I went to a tax professional and I got the same "take action ref 1541" code, I called and they mentioned it was just the Path Act and that they would start releasing on the 28th, however the state didn't give me my check and they needed me to fax in information from my job so I am worried this is whats holding my federal check up

@katina It is holding you up. 1541 Means your on a hold. You need to verify, certify , clarify something!!! Dont believe those agents when they say PATH ITS NOT PATH. ITS A HOLD BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T ENTER SOMETHING OR YOU ENTERED TO MUCH OF SOMETHING ELSE.

I just got off the phone with an TA and they couldn't tell me anything, they said to just wait on my letter and if I haven't received the letter by April 19th to call back. Now I'm very pissed because not getting my refund is one, but to not be told what's going on is another. Everyone else that's calling the TA are getting some answers, I'm beyond piss this is just ridiculous.
