I have the same issue. I've tried many times and got mine rejected as well I even followed the steps that they offered to do when you fix this issue by filing form 8862. I decided to file with H&R online tax preparation and after 30 min the IRS accepted my return. Theres deff something wrong with this, because many people are having it. Ive been using turbotax for several years now. My question is for anyone that filed with someone else did you get your return?
I have talked with three different people. All of them have "walked" through it with me. It continues to reject. Whether I file 8862 or I don't. I never received a letter from the IRS stating I needed to do this.
Did you get confirmation that your taxes went through ok? I am thinking of using another site. I cannot get mine to go through.
I never received a notice from the IRS saying that I needed to fill that form. I figured since I was audited last year I needed too. I used H&R block to file my taxes recently and was accepted within the same day after I filed. And I did make sure I included form 8862. Theres just something wrong with turboxtax form when doing it. Even if you follow their steps. Thats why after getting rejected the second time, I just went ahead with someone else to file with.
I was rejected like six times with the same rejection code IND-165-01 and when I filed with a different tax preparer it was accepted. I upgraded my account services with TurboTax and paid $130 and the tax specialist still could not help me. I want a refund as well. This makes no sense. Last year it was because of the insurance form and now some kind of bug. I've been filing with TurboTax for the past 5 years and the last 2 years has been very difficult. I tried again this year because I really like TurboTax but sad to say, I nor my husband will be filing with them again.

I recommend anyone having this issue to just go ahead and file with a different company. Just make sure you use form 8862 if you need to like I did. Honestly was rejected 2 times by using turbotax. I've been a loyal customer for several years. When I used H&R my taxes went through and I did receive a confirmation number that the IRS accepted my return. Not to mention I'll be saving 30 extra dollars using them instead of turbotax. If you continue to have this issue just use another software to file your taxes like I did.
what company did you use having the same problem
Who did you use
There was no other company. The only company having this issue was turbotax. I used H&R and my taxes went thru right away.
I went through H&R Block and my return was accepted in less than 30 minutes. This is an error within TurboTax. Use another filing service.
I had the exact same issue. I paid an extra $130 for "expert" service, and they kept telling me to file repeatedly, even when I told them I had already attempted to file that way. I ended up trying TEN times before I decided to go with another company, and it went through immediately. Turbo Tax should be refunding these fees.
I am having this same issue this year. I have been rejected 3 times now and the last time I tried it was with an "expert". I have already upgraded to the deluxe version. I'm thinking about using another site like mentioned above and finding out how to request a refund.
Why is there no refund for using TurboTax online? This issue is a bug in your system as explained by the other comments. My tax refund has been rejected multiple times using you instructions on how to file 8862. I want my refund now!
