My tax return was rejected due to incorrect AGI. TurboTax allowed me to go in and correct this. My question is that its been 72 hours and has still not been accepted. When I use the "Where's My Refund" tool through the IRS, it says I need to wait 24 hours after filing before they can see my information. But its been 72 hours. Does this mean it will be rejected again? Or is this considered an ammendment to my return and will take 12+ weeks?

No, if you were able to e-file again when you corrected your AGI it is not considered an amended return. Sometimes the processing can take much longer than 24 hours and until it is processed you won't see your status. If the IRS does reject your tax return again we suggest that you check with the IRS to make sure that the information in your return is the same as what they have in their records. Sometimes the IRS makes adjustments to tax returns. To do this, you can order a tax return transcript. I did get my online transcript from the IRS website, and it shows the AGI for my wife, as the same that I entered, which was rejected for being incorrect. Now what!?
Please see the information below, regarding AIG:
1) AGI must be the line 7 of your 2018 form 1040...for the FIRST time you e-filed your 2018 taxes and had it accepted. Not form any later changes you might have made to amend the taxes.
2) If you filed your 2018 taxes late in 2019 on paper, try a zero. Late-Paper-filed tax returns might not be entered in the e-file system for noting the previous year's filing AGI.
3) IF it still fails, you may end up having to mail-paper file this year.

How do I find last year’s AGI?
My wife's AGI is the same in our records, and through the IRS receipt. No late changes were made, and it was filed with TurboTax for 2018. I will be super disappointed if I have to paper file because of this. It has my return correct, but not hers for some reason. I tried calling my local IRS office, and you can't even talk to anyone on the phone.
Last year she filed under her maiden name. We were married in 2019. Not sure if this is causing a problem or not
Did you file a Joint 2018 return or MFS or Single? When did you file and when did she file if you don't file Joint?
Double triple check her ssn? Did she change her name with Social Security?
