@HB88I got the same response. It is just a mass emailed sent to all of us. So frustrating.
No not a good look for Turbotax at all. All the finger pointing just dug themselves into a bigger PR mess as far as I'm concerned and more angry customers.
Agree, it is very frustrating and this is why I wrote back to the email and included the CEO and VP ripping them a new one for how they have handled this problem.
The lack of candor and transparency is astonishing in this day and age where information flows so freely about poor conduct on a companies part.

When they promise everyone in a canned message you will get a response in 48 hours of course that does not give anyone any confidence in them.
Some people really need that money to survive.
I'm fortunate I don' t, but I also don't need this headache from Turbotax.
We also filed early on Jan 31. Our Federal returns got accepted on Feb 12th but CA State is still pending, more than 2 weeks ...
We filed on Feb 15. Federal accepted within hours but CA state is still pending for 3 days now.
I did not receive that canned 48 hours email so have no idea what I am supposed to do....
Same boat as everyone else, filed early, fed accepted but California still pending. I haven’t received any emails about any issues or how to resolve this yet.
Same here. Filed on 02/02/2021. Fed went through on 02/12/2021. Cal State still shows pending with no resubmit option
I wonder why the moderators ignored this thread.
It would be helpful if they sent out an email IMMEDIATELY to everyone potentially effected instead of waiting 48 hours with a possible resolution. They should acknowledge then follow up with a solution. People aren’t sure if they fit the category.
I filed my taxes in late January. My federal tax was accepted on Feb 10th and obviously I'm with the group that the return still says "pending". I have received no communication from Turbo Tax and getting a hold of anyone to help is fruitless. I paid $20 to have Turbo Tax send my state return and nothing has been done and no answers. I wonder if I call the local new station here in the Sacramento area like "Call Curtis" and see if that might help.
I have come to realize everything about turbo tax is a joke after all these years. Most sites allow you to contact customer support online more efficiently. Does anyone know their direct email for support? The online help is useless, the contact process is useless, turbotax is useless in general. I will definitely not recommend them to anyone nor will I use them in the coming years. In this day and age you would think a company that handles your tax returns will be light years ahead of most online services out there. How do I accept my california state tax will not be processed anytime soon. I called them weeks ago and accepted I would have to wait until my federal was processed. My gut instinct then was to not file my state return. BIG Mistake!
I paid $40 in total for the my state return. $5 would have been too much.

PERHAPS THE LOCAL NEWS STATIONS SHOULD BE ALERTED OF ANOTHER TURBO TAX ISSUE!!
THERE ARE TOO MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM!
@ashelby011 it’s a good idea. Maybe that will make them get into the issue faster and accept their responsibility instead of trying to blame it on us stating that there might be an error in our taxes and that’s why it got flagged.
Same here; my wife and I filed minutes apart - hers accepted within hours but mine is pending 6 days now...somethings up.
