Why is tT amending my taxes, when I am continuing

I have not finished doing my taxes.  I paused for a couple of days.  TT is calling it an amendment

When you went to open the return to continue did YOU click on the amendment option by mistake ???

How do I cancel or undo an amended return in TurboTax Online?

If you started amending your tax return by accident and would like to cancel the amendment:

1. Open your return if it’s not already open.
2. In the left menu select Cancel amend.
3. Select Yes, I want to cancel my amended return.

You must have clicked on Amend to get back into your return to continue.  You  should click on Add A State.  How to cancel or undo an Amended return
