Where is the friendly letter from Turbotax we usually get after e-filing?

You may want to check your spam email folders. TurboTax will send 2 emails after you e-file. One is to confirm the transmission and the other is to let you know if your tax return transmission has been accepted or rejected.

I'm  actually looking for the single page summary forms, one each for federal and state taxes, with the red check mark and "intuit turbotax"in the upper right hand corner.

It is titled "Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2020 Virginia/Federal Tax Return."

The items listed down the left side include:

Balance Due/Refund

Wjere

Where's My refund?

What You Need to sign

Do Not Mail

hat You Need to Keep

2020 Virginia/Federal Tax return Summary

I find these summaries very useful and somehow I wasn't able to access or print mine.

Where can I get them?

Did you print your return to file by mail? You would only get that summary if printing to file by mail.

I filed state and federal electronically.

I received a state summary, but not a federal summary.

I have these summaries for many past years after filing electronically.

When you download your return the first page should be the summary sheet, if you're not seeing that - what is showing?

When I downloaded my state return, I received the summary.

When I downloaded my federal return, the first page I received was the 1040-SR.
