You can also print and mail your tax return if you cannot retrieve it.
DID YOU SEND ME A CONFIRMATION THAT MY INCOME TAX WENT THROUGH
You can double check your efile status here
https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/
When you efile you get back 2 emails. The first email only confirms the transmission. The second email says if the IRS (or state) Accepted or Rejected your efile. Accepted only means they accepted your return FOR Processing. Not that your return is right.
When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. what does it say?
I am certain I e-filed my 2020 taxes with Turbotax, but, you are showing I did not. Since I thought they were filed I did a 1040-X to correct a couple of mistakes. If the original 1040 was not e-filed, I need to delete the 1040-X, make corrections to the 1040 and then e-file. Is this possible?
I recommend you use the link below to contact us. An agent will be able to verify whether or not your returns were electronically filed or not.
Once you determine the status of your original return, you will either be able to amend or discard the amended function and prepare the original return as applicable.
