I have already e-filed the 2020 tax return and it was received by the IRS. When I try to Amend the return, Turbotax indicates that the section is not ready yet and is waiting on the IRS.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.
See this TurboTax support FAQ on amending a tax return originally completed and filed using the 2020 TurboTax online editions - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/amending/help/how-do-i-amend-my-turbotax-online-return/01/27577
The IRS Form 1040-X for amending a 2020 tax return is scheduled to be available on 03/18/2021 (subject to change)
The hard form was ready in January. what's turbotax's program?
So March 25th has come and gone. When will the 1040X be available for 2020 returns that have been filed and accepted by the IRS? I'd like to get the ammended return filed BEFORE the government takes over $900 of my money that I didn't owe (based on the recent change to the taxability of federal unemployment income)
You can file your amended returns now. The forms are available.
However, if you had unemployment income that was taxed on your original return as filed but based upon the recent tax law changes, is no longer taxable, you do not need to file an amended return.
The IRS will be adjusting the amount of tax due on that $10,200 and will be processing refunds from the tax return as originally filed.

I cannot be claimed as a dependent on another persons return. Unfortunately, I checked that I could be. I need to change this so that I can get my stimulus check. How can I do this?
@sheetrock You can Amend Your Return to change your Filing Status to non-dependent in the MY INFO section.
Go to the Federal Review section to enter your stimulus info to claim a Recovery Rebate Credit.
Be sure to save a copy of your originally filed return, and don't submit your Amended Return until your original return is finished processing, and you have received your refund.

I'm still getting a message that an amended return cannot be filed due to updates regarding returns that include unemployment income. When will it be ready? I've been waiting to file an amended return for months now.
If you’re trying to amend your return, hang tight. There’s no need to amend your federal return to update your unemployment income—the IRS announced that they will automatically adjust your return and send any additional refund amount directly to you.
However, some people may now be newly eligible for additional deductions and credits not already included on the original tax return. In these cases, you will likely want to amend your return to claim these additional dollars. You can see more details around who should amend here. Waiting to amend, if necessary, will not delay any refund you may newly qualify for.
We’re working hard to update TurboTax to the most recent IRS changes along with the American Rescue Plan and are still waiting on how individual states are handling these changes. Go here to see whether or not you’ll need to amend your state return for your unemployment income.
If you need to amend your state return or update something other than unemployment, try again after next week. We want to make sure your amendment is done quickly and accurately with the latest guidance from your state and the IRS. Check back here for updated dates in the future.

It's been saying "check back after next week"
for 3 weeks now!
I need to amended my return for a different reason than unemployment (though I did receive unemployment, as well.)
