When can I expect to receive my additional refund for being taxed on unemployment benefits? Thank you.

I filed my return in early February, received my refund, and THEN the government said the first $10,000 (or so) would be tax free. Turbo tax said we dont have to file an amended return. How long will it take to get the additional refund? Thank you.

Only the IRS controls when and if a tax refund will be issued for the unemployment compensation exclusion for those that are eligible.  There is no way to track or know when you will receive this refund, however the IRS is sending these refunds to those eligible starting in May and throughout the summer months.
