March 3 2022 they received my amended return.  the phone number doesn't do anything but tell us they are too busy.

Its a joke.  I expect one day I will get a check...but not anytime soon.

They received my amended return March 3, 2021 and I received my refund check July 16, 2022

To my shock and amazement got me amended return refund at 9 moths and 2 days.   Couple days later goa letter saying the check was coming-kinda funny.

Getting the letter after the refund check is SOP in most cases mostly because they are issued by different departments usually from different locations/states.

Back in June, the IRS had 2 million amendments backlogged.  It's now down to 800,000 per the IRS website.  Appears it is taking 6-9 months for amendments to be processed; that is down from 12-13 months back in the May - June, 2022 timeframe.
