Code 152* Not 570. I’m bugging.
What do it mean your AS of March 7 date?? On your transcript I still have a n/a on the top two
@Critter-3 I mean yeah. We’ve all seen that link hundreds of times. Maybe I’m just missing how it is in any way, shape,or form even the slightest bit helpful. General information is exactly what it’s name states.
@Stinagirl I’m not 100% sure but I’d like to know. Mine says as of Feb 21 and has no updated info
Same code 152 on mine. My return was accepted Feb. 2.
So, I was just reading up on codes. My transcript has the code 150, which I found is a freeze, meaning something is wrong, however, upon further reading, the irs can use this code just to freeze it for the hell of it cause they are busy. So to me, that goes against our tax rights for the irs to be transparent to what is going on with our refund. Yes I read the tax laws to see how wrong this is that the irs is doing this to us. But then I'm looking at my transcript and there is a 971 code. So I look that up and read. And it is about spousal things from my taxes. Now mind you, I am not married, nor have I been, I am single but head of household. (Single father of 1) so there is no reason for that code to be on my transcript. So there is a game the irs is playing right now with releasing our refunds. Also, there is what's called a cycle number. It's an 8 digit number that is in accordance to the dates. So like mine says refund should be by the 14th of March, but this was determined on Feb 25th. So why did my return go through and checked in the 25th, but yet I am still being delayed my refund, and mind you, there is no status bar on my wheres my refund page, still with a delay in processing message, but everything on my transcript is from the 25th of Feb?
Btw for example, your cycle code will look like this. 20220805. This code breaks down, the year 2022, the week of the year, 08, and the day of that week, 05, which 05 is Thursday of the week. I've looked this up. They rarely go past 05 for day, and 05 stands for Thursday that's so past refunds would be issued before weekends.
Im getting that same message. All my friends have received there refunds.
How did your friends submit their taxes? TT, HRB, independent tax preparer?
So I don't know about anyone else. My frustration levels are just through the roof. Not only with the irs but with turbo as well. I pay for the extra help and the audit protection and so on. It is getting frustrating sewing all the talk of everything and there is no one to help. Not irs or any of the experts or even turbo tax themselves. There has got to be a way to get answers and no one seems to be trying to help you get them. I feel ripped off for what I payed for these guys to help me with doing my taxes. And I can only imagine what the headache of getting a refund from turbo would be. And with anyone I've seen use a personal tax preparer get their refund already and not deal with these issues, I am just fed up, and just can't do it to myself to come back to this service any longer.
No one can help with the IRS processing times no matter how much you pay to anyone and the audit protection only kicks in if you get an audit letter. Right now the IRS is still processing the return and they can take as long as they deem required to do so. Even the taxpayer advocate office cannot help until you pass the 90 day mark or 30 days after a 60 day letter is sent.
We issue most refunds in less than 21 calendar days. However, it’s possible your tax return may require additional review and take longer. Where’s My Refund? has the most up to date information available about your refund.
It is taking the IRS more than 21 days to issue refunds for some 2020 tax returns that require review including incorrect Recovery Rebate Credit amounts, or that used 2019 income to figure the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and Additional Child Tax Credit (ACTC).
Many different factors can affect the timing of your refund after we receive your return. Even though we issue most refunds in less than 21 days, it’s possible your refund may take longer. Also, remember to take into consideration the time it takes for your financial institution to post the refund to your account or for you to receive it by mail.
For the latest information on IRS refund processing during the COVID-19 pandemic, see the IRS Operations Status page.
We will contact you by mail when (or if) we need more information to process your return. If we’re still processing your return or correcting an error, neither Where’s My Refund? or our phone representatives will be able to provide you with your specific refund date. Please check Where’s My Refund? for updated information on your refund.
According to the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes (PATH) Act, the IRS cannot issue EITC and ACTC refunds before mid-February. The IRS expects most EITC/Additional CTC related refunds to be available in taxpayer bank accounts or on debit cards by March 1, if they chose direct deposit and there are no other issues with their tax return. However, some taxpayers may see their refunds a few days earlier. Check Where’s My Refund for your personalized refund date.
Where’s My Refund? on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go mobile app remains the best way to check the status of a refund. WMR on IRS.gov and the IRS2Go app will be updated with projected deposit dates for most early EITC/ACTC refund filers by February 19.
No. unless Where’s My Refund? directs you to call us, our representatives will not be able to provide any additional information.
If Where’s My Refund? says that we’re still processing your return, our representatives won’t be able to give you a specific refund date.
Usually information on the most recent tax year refund we have on file for you.
Where's My Refund? will usually display the status of your most recently filed tax return within the past two tax years.
For returns filed on or after July 1, refund information will remain available throughout the following year until you file a tax return for a more current tax year.
Twenty-four hours after we’ve received your electronically filed tax return or 4 weeks after you’ve mailed a paper tax return.
Where’s My Refund? will give you a personalized date after we process your return and approve your refund.
A tax transcript will not help you find out when you’ll get your refund. The information transcripts have about your account does not necessarily reflect the amount or timing of your refund. They are best used to validate past income and tax filing status for mortgage, student and small business loan applications, and to help with tax preparation.
To claim a refund of federal taxes withheld on income from a U.S. source, a nonresident alien must report the appropriate income and withholding amounts on Form 1040-NR, U.S. Nonresident Alien Income Tax Return PDF. You must include the documents substantiating any income and withholding amounts when you file your Form 1040NR. We need more than 21 days to process a 1040NR return. Please allow up to 6 months from the date you filed the 1040NR for your refund.
Where’s My Refund? follows your tax return from receipt to completion. It will tell you when your return is in received status and if your refund is in approved or sent status.
We have your tax return and are processing it.
We’ve approved your refund. We are preparing to send your refund to your bank or directly to you in the mail. This status will tell you when we will send the refund to your bank (if you selected the direct deposit option). Please wait 5 days after we’ve sent the refund to check with your bank about your refund, since banks vary in how and when they credit funds. (It could take several weeks before you receive a mailed refund check.)
Sometimes a few days, but it could take longer.
No, not always. Sometimes, when we are still reviewing your return, instead, it will display instructions or an explanation of what we are doing.
Once per day, usually at night. There’s no need to check more often.
i've been seeing you respond to this whole thread and it's basically the same thing what the IRS is telling us which is basically nothing. I've filed my taxes on the 6th of Feburary and was expecting it on the 28th but have gotten NOTHING. I got the delay message which is total BS. Then, when I try to call IRS they tell me the same thing. They don't tell me if theres an error or anything. I'm single, never been married or anything. I've been filing with TT FOR YEARS and this has never happened. I have bills to pay and I haven't gotten a transcript nor an update. This has got to be either a TT problem or the IRS. I am still getting the 152 code but NO ONE is literally helping me on how to resolve this issue to give me my money back. Its funny that the IRS demands money but when we want ours it's a whole delay.
@Taxthequeen Got a code of 571 and a DDD of 3/9 this morning. Thank you again
honestly I feel the same way! I filed back in January and got accepted on Jan 20th. I got the delay message on Feb 8th and it’s still the same almost a month. Each time I call to check what is going on they tell me the same thing how it was processed already on Feb 8th but I got the delay message on that day. They told me usually takes 8 weeks. Yesterday when I called the guy told me the hold will be uplifted last night. This morning I check it’s the same delay message. I never seen those delay messages and I have been taxes forever and with kids for the past 9 years.
