Sorry, I just e-filed and then remembered that the two W2s are correct BUT the second job through the end of the year 2019 first started / began via a temp agency for the initial two months...then the company hired me on “permanent” but so there’s another missing piece of the puzzle: the W2 from....the staffing agency that I didn’t receive yet (?)...

what should I do?

thanks and may God bless you and me and the USA 🇺🇸

Sincerely,

David

If the IRS has accepted your return.  You can amend and add the additional income after you get your W2.

Please see the TurboTax FAQ: How do I add another form (like a W-2) or add/change/update something after I already filed? for assistance and instructions with updating your return once you receive your additional W-2.

1. My return has been filed and accepted. I have a refund due. However, my 1099 R reporting was incomplete and I have completed an amended return resulting in my owing money to the IRS.  Should I file my amended return immeediately and pay the amount due or should I wait until the refund check is received and then make my payment.

2. When I receive the refund check what is the best way to return it? e.g should I include it with my payment and amended return?

3. Am I liable for penalty for under reporting income if I file the amended return before April 15?

Thanks very much.

Wait for your return to be processed.  In fact the IRS may catch the omission and send you letter with instructions to correct.  If the refund does come in then complete/mail the amendment and send in any amount due by the 15 Apr deadline to avoid penalties and interest.
