Turbo Tax TPG Bank shows my refund was funded on the 8th, but I haven’t received it in my account. Why hasn’t it been sent to my bank?

I just looked at my status on the TPG website, and it shows that my return has been federally funded but they don’t know when it’s going to be disbursed to my own account. My funding was a week ago from the ITS, so this company has been holding onto my money making interest off it for a week. I have never had these kinds of problems with TurboTax as I have this year and I can’t say that I will be a repeat customer after all of the headache that has occurred. Why are they not releasing peoples funds? I would never have paid through my return if I knew that they would be holding my money and making interest on it for who knows how long instead of releasing it to the people it belongs to. This feels like a class action lawsuit coming on. They are literally holding our funds in their own accounts making money off of it. That is unethical at best, fraudulent at worst. It’s a poor choice to do this to loyal customers, TT.

TPG has been holding my funds for a week and there is still not even a status for when they’re releasing them. This has nothing to do with the IRS or our banks, and everything to do with TPG holding our funds well after they’ve received them and making interest on it until they’re good and ready to forward it on. It’s ludicrous and unethical that they can even legally do that. It’s pretty shameful what you’re telling people here. Let’s put the blame where it’s due, which is TPG Bank holding our funds. And TT using a bank that would actually do such a thing to their customers.

Understand that the IRS might have Funded (sent) it, but with a later "effective date;" and that it cannot be released to you until that date.  Think of it as getting a postdated check in the mail.  Your bank will not cash that check until the actual date that's on the check.

Either way that helps me none st all if it dont arrive before the 1st. Me and my daughter will be homeless as our place just added a lease instead of allowing us to pay weekly. So im screwed as this was my way to catch up. Now, evennif it does come, with rent prices in las vegas im atill screwed because i wont be able to afford a new deposit and 1st month rent ya kno. So they screwed me

That’s not what’s occurring on mine. After calling and getting a run around about what this is about through the automated system, they’re saying they need something from me. However, after I go to the site they sent me to, it can’t find my account even though I used the same SSN to log in to their website initially and see that they do in fact have my funds. How is it legal for a bank to hold my funds for a week and not even tell me they need something from me??? Not to mention make me go to a separate part of their site to upload it that doesn’t even locate me, and therefore makes it impossible to provide what they’re asking for. This is a train wreck of epic proportions. 

I haven’t changed my banking info in the ten years I’ve been with TT. There is no reason to hold those funds. None.

I'm dealing with almost the exact same thing! Irs says refund was sent on Friday TPG still showing it hasn't received it. I choose direct deposit into chime account.  Last year when irs said they sent it and I didn't go through tpg I received it in my chime account the same day!  Never using any tax preparation who uses tpg as a 3rd party again!

My DDD was 2/24. Its says sent. TBG says unfunded. When was your DDD

Mine was 2/22/22 and still nothing. I’ve called them and everything said they are processing but still nothing.

Same DDD reached out to TBG to find out what is going on. Shows refund amount and fees paid. Still nothing. Waiting on them for a response of course ticket says it can take  24 hours.

I haven't ever received a paper check. After reviewing this 3rd party company it honestly looks like a paper check may be quicker.  I've been reading reviews on BBB and other platforms.  This bank doesn't have great reviews 😕  best of luck to everyone stuck in this unfunded space.
