TT says pending, but irs says they received.

Turbo tax says pending for both federal and state for over a week now.  I talked with 3 different experts over the phone and each one said that it looks like the federal went through, but the state got rejected.  Looks like turbo tax had something wrong with the indiana state which got corrected with an update on tuesday I believe, but i cannot refile the state because it is still in pending.  How can the experts see what the federal and state did but my turbotax did not update past pending?  The experts say it is not a turbo tax issue but I do not believe that.  The only common thing between federal and state is turbo tax and they both say pending.  I am beyond frustrated.  The only thing they did was send me another indiana state download for free which I appreciate,but i do not want to put all my taxes in again..   Hopefully somebody on turbo taxes end can find out what is going on and correct.

If you filed your federal and state returns at the same time, your state return may not start processing at the same time as your federal.

It's not unusual for state returns to remain in a pending status for several days after a federal return has been accepted. Please see the TurboTax FAQ here.

When you e-file your tax return, you will receive two emails. The first email only confirms the transmission was received.  The second email will state if the IRS or your state either accepted or rejected your e-file. Please see the information in this TurboTax FAQ that explains in more detail the pending process here.

I'm having the same issue.  Both my Federal and State (Indiana) still show PENDING.  I filed both together on January 25th.  My federal taxes were accepted and I have already received my refund.  I can't refile the Indiana taxes until this PENDING issue is resolved.  My federal taxes were accepted almost immediately.  This is a real PAIN!

This could mean certain Forms in your Indiana return is not available as yet for efiling.

If none of the Forms mentioned as unavailable doesn't apply to you you choose to delete your Indiana return and then add it back. Your Federal information will flow through as it did before. Before you delete try clearing your Cache by following the instructions below.

The steps to add your State is as follows:

1. Sign in to TurboTax.
2. On Your 2022 federal return was accepted! ...
3. Now select Add a state (this reopens your return) ...
4. Select State from the left menu.
5. On the Let's get your state taxes done right screen, select Continue and follow the instructions.

I removed the state from my taxes but it would not let me reload the state again.  It kept the state in there but with no info.  Put the info back in and it still will not let me send it because it says i already did.  This is getting beyond frustrating.  Turbo tax sent me emails stating my federal is accepted and the state said they rejected it because of a form issue on turbo tax side.  I cannot understand why turbo tax can send me an email but their program cannot update to reflect that.  Both still say pending when i check the status and it will not allow me to send the state again because it said i already did.  I deleted all my cache as well and still the same thing.  Ugh

Re did my taxes with a new downloaded state because i was told by an expert to do that and then just efile the state.  Wasted hours of my time reentering in all the numbers only for turbo tax to tell me they cannot efile just the state without the federal.  Fml.  Also, been on hold now for 35 mins waiting for another expert to get back to me and they just hung up.  I cannot file my federal again because the irs is already telling me that my refund is on the way.  Unfortunately turbo tax still says pending for both my federal and state so i cannot file the state again.  Is there any other number to call?

I'm having the same issue.  I filed both my Federal and Indiana State together.  My federal was accepted and I have already received the refund.  My state was rejected.  TT still says BOTH are PENDING, so I can't file my state return.  I removed the state information.  Resaved.  Shut down and reopened TT.  I re-entered my state info, but it will not let me e-file anything, as TT says I have already filed everything and there is nothing to file.  Clearly, TT is wanting to do away with this "self-filing" and force everyone to use the more expensive "Get an Expert to do it for you."  I decided to just print the taxes and mail them in.

The HELP article doesn't help at all.  Status of BOTH returns is PENDING.  I've received my federal refund, so that status is INCORRECT.  I'm using the desktop version.  I've deleted the STATE twice now and re-entered all the data twice.  TT will not let me file (or even print a MAILABLE copy of either -- without the "E-file" watermarked forms) while it's showing both Federal and State as PENDING.  It says there is "nothing to submit" as everything has already been e-filed.   I'm never using TT again.  I'm advising everyone I know to do the same.

To get the correct status of your tax refunds, you would go to the IRS and State website. I would not be concerned, as sometimes the blue line on TurboTax may not update right away, especially if the IRS was quick in processing your return.

TurboTax only tracks whether your federal tax return as been accepted or rejected, and gives an estimate on when you can expect to receive your tax refund.

Same issue as everyone else. This is obviously a TT issue, so just fix it!!. Both mine still say pending. I received my federal refund yesterday. Indiana says they have my state and are processing it. TT status should not say pending still. My son has the same issue. He has ended up paperfiling since he can't fix an error on TT which caused his return to reject. Spent hours on the phone with TT support with the promise it would be fixed with an update in a couple of days. That was 2 weeks ago. Obviously still not fixed. After years and years of using TT, I will seriously be considering a different product next year. This kind of issue is unacceptable.

Yep its ridiculous and was told a week ago that yesterday an update was coming through that would fix it.  Still waiting......  this is the last year i am using turbo tax.  I need to be able to refile my state since they rejected it because of a tt issue, but with it still pending i cannot.

Took the update yesterday that included an Indiana update and no change. Still says pending. What a joke. Good riddance TurboTax

Same here.  TT "updated" with something from "Indiana" but it didn't change the PENDING status.  I filed back on January 25th.  I have now just gone to ind.gov and filled in manual copies of my state forms (using the info off of what TT figured for each form).   I will wait until March1st and then I am just going to mail them via US MAIL.  Clearly, TT does NOT want to fix the PENDING status issue so we can all finish filing our taxes.  This is RIDICULOUS.

Wow  I I am another Indiana user that ash the pending issue. fed refund is on way back, but Indianu I need to amend but cant becuase it is in pending state. Will wait a while and see if they fix  it then back to the old pencil and ink time to submit the amended it40x
