How long does it take to recieve remainder of my refund after tax offsets are taken out

What type of offset was it and how long did  it take to get your money? I ask because I have a offset its from Edd overpayment and I just filed my taxes . I’m hoping it will not take additional time after they take  the amount I owe.

You can check the IRS website. Once they have an expected deposit date they will update the site.

Hello all. My refund had a offset and I called the offset hotline and it is scheduled to be paid on the 3rd for state taxs. Does anyone know after it’s paid how long it takes to get your refund? Thanks

We cannot tell you how long it will take.  TurboTax never knows about offsets to your refund.  When an offset occurs, the IRS (or state) sends you a letter of explanation after they have taken the refund.

The state took 1310.00 of my refund and that was February 26th and the irs website still showing my refund hasn’t even been approved. I have no information. So yes it does cause a delay.

This is definitely incorrect information. Mines has been delayed. Even on the IRS website if you file joint and it’s offset it could take up to 6 weeks. It doesn’t really say for individual taxes.

If you call the telephone number for the refund offset, they can look up both social security numbers to see if you have an offset. 

The Where's My Refund website will then let you know it is offset by using tax topic 203.

My recovery rebate check was taken by irs to pay back taxes.nowbthey are saying they are not going to do that now .when will I receive my refund

No it wasn't a student loan,just back taxes.im just trying to find how long it will take to get it I have looked at the irs question and what is weird they didn't say it was offset it just said we took your refund for owed back taxes

I'm a senior citizen and a non-filer so all my refund was the recovery rebate.i haven't received a letter either

Might not want to hear it but I heard from child support that after they take what I owe then they send remainding balance to the irs treasury and then the treasury holds it 160 days before mailing it back to me in a check. 

Then some one mentioned that I need to contact the people who took the money I owed by certified mail asking for them to give me back the rest of my money. Because if I dont, afterwards they send it back to the treasury. And anyone can put in a claim the money if I  owe them and they put in a claim first.
