Log into your Healthcare.gov account. Under "your existing applications " choose 2022. Click 'tax forms' from the menu on the left. Then download your 1095-a forms. Also, if you bought from a private insurance company they might be able to pull it for you as well
I've never try to enter incorrect information for this ( like entering $1 for the January premium) so I can't say with 100% certainty. But if you submit information that does not match the information irs has they will review it and this could cause a delay in getting your taxes back. It might be accepted, but mostly the just verify your personal information, and to see if all the required questions have been answered. Being accepted is not being approved. I'm a licensed insurance agent and have seen it plenty of times. If you try that method I hope it works for you. But you might be taking a chance. Good luck !
If you do not have a Form 1095-A or a Form 8962 in your return and the rejection says that it is missing, the Marketplace may have told the IRS that you applied for coverage that you did not ultimately take, or that someone on your tax return did. Please call the Marketplace and be sure they do not have a Form 1095-A on record for anyone on the return, either by name, or by social security number. Sometimes someone else puts the wrong number on their application.

The government said there is insurance but we did not authorize this and we have been waiting over a month and a half to get our money. Everytime we call they tell us something different.we filed a fraud claim
You may have to print and mail your return, if you do not want to wait for a correction. Mailing your return is always very slow but if you do not want to wait for a correction from Healthcare.gov that is the only option.
I would attach an explanation to the mailed return and wait for a response from the IRS.
Here is how to print and file a return using TurboTax.
Ok
What if I write a letter and they look into it and give me back the wrong refund.
Could it be that you had ACA in the prior year and it was renewed by your insurance broker?
Based on your comment on March 5, 2023, you confirmed with the Healthcare Market Place that you were enrolled for insurance. You will need Form 1095-A in order to e-file your return. Mailing a hard copy of the return to the IRS without reporting this Form may further delay your return.
Once you receive Form 1095-A enter the information into your return. It may or may not impact your tax refund.
You can also ask the Healthcare Marketplace representation to dictate the amounts for Column A, B, C and the total for each column. You will also need the Marketplace ID from Form 1095-A to complete the return. This would allow you to move forward with your return preparation without having to wait for the Form in the mail.
Try calling the IRS at 1800-829-1040 between 7AM - 7PM EST and explain your situation to see if they can provide another solution.
So how did you fix the issue 😕 it rejected me once and after I went to fix it it just sent me back to e-file my return. I didn't get a 1095-a form. Or have insurance through it and I have a feeling it will reject it again 😔
If you're being rejected for a missing or incomplete 1095-A it is because the IRS thinks you or someone on your return had a Marketplace health policy for some part of the 2023 tax year.
First confirm that you, or any others listed on your return were not covered by a Marketplace policy. You may be able to find a 1095-A form by signing in to your healthcare.gov account and downloading it.
Once your confident that you did not get a 1095-A, you can try to delete the form.
To delete a Form in the Online version:
If this didn’t work, go into your return and make sure that you checked that you didn’t get a 1095-A.
Finally, if all else fails:
You can try to enter $1 for 1095. This will not affect anything on your return, but having the form there may get the IRS to accept your return. To do this take the following steps:
I e filed my taxes I and my son have Medicaid is bother has a marketplace but I wasn't sure it was a marketplace or what it was because he didn't have to pay anything so I can assumed it was like Medicaid as we are once I filed it got rejected and sent me this form but he has not received anything in the mail no forms no codes not nothing but an insurance ID card how do I go about fixing this issue so I can file my taxes without having to go to a professional away from home if I can just do it myself for free?
Sincerely Hunter Marie
It sounds like you've received the IRS' reject F8962-070 if your e-filed return is missing information from Form 1095-A, Health Insurance Marketplace Statement.
This means that the IRS reviewed the information you provided on your return and determined, based on the information in its database, that you need to include information from Form 1095-A on your return.
See the TurboTax Help article How do I fix e-file reject F8962-070? for guidance on the steps you need to take to remedy the rejection.
You use Form 8962, Premium Tax Credit (PTC) if you received advanced payments toward the cost of a health insurance premium during the year, or to claim a premium tax credit related to health insurance, if you're eligible.
Also see When should I include Form 8962 with my tax return? for more information as to why you'd need to file the form.
