I was closed on the 25 as well no emails about anything ive tried opening another it says we have hit a snag I chatted with support they said i had to wait 15 days to open a new one is this correct information
Did the same thing on the 25 th and said wait two weeks only to see error message. I don’t know what’s wrong with the company or why the would close accounts right before tax season and / or have something in the app to let you know.
Definitely should sue ! What they did was unethical as ****! never using their service again.
Please file with Hr Block from now on I got my refund advance after trying with Karma to resolve issue , unfortunately they turbo tax has lost an almost 10 yr customer that recommended countless users now I will be redirecting to Hr block.
Thanks for sharing that info. Luckily I didn’t file and learned about the account closure first. I just submitted my return and am waiting for my regular direct deposit without the headache thankfully.
They did the same thing to me my taxes were due to be put in .y credit karma account closed now I'm screwed.
I was approved for a advance with turbotax but credit karma tried saying my identity couldn't be verified turbotax said ny credit karma account was still active I have 7,000 coming from the irs but my spend account got closed s well so today I'm Contacting an attorney!!!

I'm contacting a attorney this morning I have 7,000 coming a d they closed my account for no reason as well turbotax already got sued for lying about letting people file for free I was part of that now how are they going to like getting in trouble again.

They were sued once for their lies I have the name of the lawfirm that sued turbotax.

I forgot all about that! I was too lazy to start over, otherwise I would have used a different Tax company!
I was told to wait two weeks too and the Rep either couldn’t or they just refused to tell me what I was waiting two weeks for. This whole thing is just weird. I have a regular bank but I’ve used prepaid cards in the past and I have never been randomly asked to verify my information or my account will be closed. I could see saying your acct has been inactive for a year and so ur acct is being closed or something like that. It would have made more sense to have people verify when they eventually tried to log in especially now since it’s tax season and Credit Karma knows people will be using the accounts. I’m seeing that they are closing accounts that have money in them. It’s just crazy and an unethical practice.
