Paying TurboTax Online with federal refund Question

I was under the impression that Santa Barbara Tax Products Group handled the processing of payments for TurboTax products if you are using your Federal refund as a payment source.

I chose to pay TT using my federal refund for the 2019 tax year, with the remaining amount to be direct deposited into my checking account.

Why then, am I being asked to sign/acknowledge disclosures for Greendot and an entity called "Bank"? I do not wish to have my personal information given to these entities. I was not given the option to opt out of this even though I am not applying for a refund loan or using the TurboCard as a means of receiving my refund.

Please advise.

Paying TurboTax Online with federal refund Question

It seems that during the filing process, the election for the prepaid visa may have be made by mistake.

The TurboSM Prepaid Visa® Card is provided by Green Dot Corporation and is issued by Green Dot Bank pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A Inc. Green Dot Corporation is a member service provider for Green Dot Bank, Member FDIC.

When you elect to pay your TurboTax preparation fees with your refund, an intermediary, such as Santa Barbara Bank is used. TurboTax does not handle your refund at all. Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

Since you do not want this election, please pay your TurboTax fees directly with a credit or debit card.  Then select the direct debit in your checking account.

I recommend starting over with the "File"tab and change your elections for payment.
