@ seniorpublicrelationsdirector wrote:I E-FILED MY TAX RETURN ON FEBRUARY 12,2025 AND IT WAS ACCEPTED BY THE IRS ON FEBRUARY 15,2025 I CHOOSE TO RECEIVE THE REFUND FIVE DAYS EARLY AND ON MY TURBOTAX TIME LINE ITS NOT SHOWING A DATE JUST YET THEN I CHECKED THE WHERES MY REFUND AND NOTHING IS SHOWING AND MY TRANSCRIPT IS BLANK WHEN WILL I GET MY REFUND?
What does "nothing is showing" at the WMR site mean? Does that mean the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool showed the following: "The information you entered doesn't match our records?"
https://www.irs.gov/wheres-my-refund
You stated that your efiled return was accepted. So if the IRS tool is not finding your information at all, here are some tips:
If the IRS WMR tool is not finding your information, you can also try phoning the IRS refund hotline, again using the figure from Form 1040, Line 35a. I've seen it work for some users when the WMR tool didn't. 800-829-1954
The issue is actually with TurboTax and IPI.
IPI, Intuit Payments Inc, has a known issue that's causing two different 5 Day Early orders to be processed to a customer's account. This creates a small discrepancy in the refund that the IRS sends to IPI (Cross River/SB) and the amount they send to the customer's bank account.
Then, IPI will send customers checks for the difference. The issue is, these checks are being returned.
The fact that Intuit knows that this is an issue yet still hasn't stopped this from happening is CRAZY work.
If any customers of TurboTax see this, you must file, in writing, a dispute with Intuit, INC:
Intuit, INC
ATTN: 5DEE Inquiries
2535 Garcia Ave
Mountain View, CA 94043
You can find this info in the Early Refund Processing Agreement if you download your 2024 Tax Return through your TurboTax account.
The issue (and where a serious class action suit is going to take TurboTax down) is that they know that this is an issue, but are making no attempts to resolve the issue with IPI, Inc and Cross River Bank (the bank that IPI payments are drawn on), leaving customers holding the bag.
Why would it not be 5 days earlier than the lift date which is the 15th ?
"5 days early" means you are supposed to receive your refund from one to five days sooner than the refund date shown on the IRS refund site. If it does not meet that "at least one day sooner" date, they are supposed to refund the $35 fee.
You have to pay attention to the date on the IRS refund site.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2025 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:
I have been checking the IRS "Where is my Refund" site. After putting in my required information I was able to view my IRS Tax return "Refund Status Results" and it changed from "Accepted" to "Sent". The IRS stated on their website the refund was sent to my bank on February 19th 2026. However, today is February 20th and it is not showing in the Credit Karma account that Turbo Tax marketed that if I used I would receive my refund 5 days earlier than if I did not use them. According to the promise made that if I used their "Bank" I should have received my funds direct deposited into the Credit Karma Bank on February 14th.
With this Broken promise or false advertising to get you to sign up with their bank using misleading statements to gain my business. Is there a way to dispute the Turbo Tax charges or is Turbo Tax going to refund the money Turbo Tax charged to correct their misleading advertising?
Your refund may have been offset. The IRS and state governments can intercept refunds to pay for certain past-due debts (such as back taxes, child support, or student loans).
How to check for an offset:
I second that notion
Then why does someone I know who has the exact same code, refund issued date, and cycle code on their tax transcript, same as mine, but they already received their refund via direct deposit into their chime account?
it looks like if I had used my regular bank account rather than intuit bank, I would have received mine already.
Oh and the date in the far right column of transcript says 3/9 but she received hers already. Seems odd Intuit.
Once your return is filed, TurboTax has no control over the processing or the timing when the IRS releases your refund.
The IRS Where's My Refund site will not take into account the 5 days early, but if you signed up for the 5 Day Early product, you should receive your refund deposited 5 days prior to the date indicated by the IRS, assuming all conditions are met.

If you don't get your deposit 5 days early, there is a few reasons why that might happen.
If TurboTax is unable to deliver the refund 5 days early, your order will be canceled and you won't be charged the 5-Day Early fee. You will receive a follow-up email with a refund and timing update, and if any cancellation is applicable.
