On a cp12 notice, does my refund come 4-6 weeks from the date on the notice?

From what I gathered by the letter, it is to be sent by mail.  I have also seen that there are major delays in receiving the return if you haven't got the deposit by the time you receive the notice.  It can take 28 to 180 days because it is sent 4 to 6 weeks after the reply date for a dispute that is disclosed on the letter.

I have received a cp12 notice after I got my first deposit on April 13 2022 but the notice said that there were corrections under the recovery debate credit section which leaves me a refund of 1,914. and said after june 17 2022 if I agree with the corrections I will be receiving a refund with in 4-6 weeks but I haven't received it yet and how can I get the refund if its true

Looking at my cp12 notice, there are two dates. For example, mine gave 4 to 6 weeks after the notice date but there is also an additional date on the letter stating that they will proceed if no contact by me is made after the later date on the notice.

So, I would honestly assume, from what I researched, that the return can come by check or direct deposit and somewhere between 3 to 12 weeks. 

The best way to see updates is by logging into your online account. You can see your transcripts, and cycle code there.

I received a CP12 Notice on May 9, 2022.  The notice indicates a refund of $1,770 would be sent in 4 to 6 weeks. It has now been almost 12 weeks and I have not received my refund.  Would you please check into this matter for me. If I need to send you information like my Social Security Number, please let me know.  Thank you for your assistance.

@knight0614 Sorry--no one can check for you.   TurboTax receives no information whatsoever from the IRS after you file your tax return, nor can TT intercede with the IRS on your behalf.  The IRS is severely backlogged, so many things are taking much longer than normal.   All you can do is wait and check for information on the IRS refund site.   The IRS is your only source of information.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

To call the IRS:IRS:  800-829-1040  hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.

Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".

Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".  

Then press 3 "for all other questions."

Then press 2 "for all other questions."  It should then transfer you to an agent.

I received the letter from the IRS on May 9, 2022 that were changes to my tax return. I looked at it but didn't know if it was right or not, so I just let it go. My original return was supposed to be $3826 but the IRS said there were errors on it. I did not call them, I just let it go as I was still supposed to get a refund of $1026. But it is August 15th and so far I have not received it

@Troun01   Need more details.  Did you have an amount on line 30 for the Recovery Rebate Credit?  How much?  Did the IRS reduce your refund for it?  Or are you waiting for your refund?

 If the IRS adjusted your tax return they show they already sent you the 3rd Stimulus payment(1400 per person).  Double check your bank account.  You might have tried to claim it again.  Line 30 is only if you didn't get the full amount or qualify for more.

We received a letter in April, and still have not received any money.  We don't owe back taxes and every time I call they say they are too busy and call a different day.  Any advice on how to handle or check on the refund?
