My tax return initially said accepted now it's saying it has been received and it is being processed what does that mean
Frustrating when it's been past a month and still no definite answers
Do you guys really efiled it?
I had the same issue last year.
You can check your e-filing status at the link here.
To track your refund and for more information like why it could take longer to process your refund, please see our Help and Refund Tracker page here.
I did my taxes on March 1st. It's been almost 3 weeks and I still have not received my refund, and it's been accepted for over a week or two. When will I finally get it? I check the IRS refund status every single day and not a single thing has changed or updated.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.
You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

I know. I've been checking it every single day since I filed. This doesn't help me or answer my question.
@Magickalmason Sorry for your frustration with the IRS. TurboTax cannot control or speed them up for you. You know the IRS has your tax return. They are working on it. All you can do is wait for them to finish processing it. Some returns take longer than others. We cannot see it, so we do not know why it is delayed. There have been lots of delays this year due to mistakes folks have made with the child tax credit or stimulus payments---so consider that possibility.
I don't have any children. I didn't make any mistakes. I was just wondering if I should be concerned that it's taking longer than 3 weeks. I have no income, I'm disabled, and I'm behind on 2 months of rent so I'm in an emergency situation. That's all. Thank you for your help
The IRS issues most refunds from e-filed returns in about 21 days, although some returns take more time to review. If it's been more than 21 days since your e-filed 2021 return was accepted, you can call the IRS directly to check on your refund status.
To monitor the status of your refund, please visit the Where's My Refund page for the most up to date information. The IRS usually updates daily, usually overnight.
