IRS sent my third stimulus to a closed a count twice. What do I need to do to get them to send me a check? They sent it on the 17th and the again on the 31st of March.

Once your payment is rejected by the bank that formerly housed your account, you should be able to use the IRS's Get My Payment tool to confirm that that money was returned and get a sense of when your stimulus will go out by check. Keep in mind that the IRS can only issue so many checks each week, so you may need to wait a bit to receive that money in the mail. But rest assured that you won't lose out on it just because it went to the wrong bank account initially.

My stimulus payment was sent twice to a closed Turbotax account. I'm not able to find out any information through the IRS website.

Same. Nobody seems to be able to give me any information on what is going on or where my payment is.

Eventually, the "Get My Payment" site will update to reflect the status.  Ultimately, rejected electronic payments will be sent by mail to the address on file with the IRS.  This usually the address on the latest filed tax return.  If you have moved since filing your last return you will need to put in a change of address with the IRS.

I contacted them ..The customer service only has ability to do and see certain things and because mine is placed on hold due to  account closed supposedly it sent a flag and fraud /ID department has to verify my information ..CS can’t even send a referral until after 8/10 weeks of me receiving letter stating my return refund for 2021 ( 3 stimulus is considered 2021 tax season ) is being reviewed was told mine hit a glitch and system is processing as 1040 return also I owe IRS and during calls that’s something each person mentioned I’m sure that sent some alert to account to stall things
