Pretty much same for me. I was told if I don’t receive anything my April 15th to call again!
Your current return won't be available in your account until it's fully processed by the IRS. The only tool you can use to access status of return that is processing is Where's My Refund?
On Friday it will be 3wks since I filed using turbotax. It was accepted the next day after I filed and it still says processing will give return date when made available on IRS2go app. Anyone know how long this usually takes. I dont normally file cuz I'm on disability but I did this year cuz I never received my first 2 stimulus payments. IRS.gov says I'm getting 1800 but when. I'm so frustrated with this
I was accepted 2/12 finally getting mine Friday took over a month but that's due to TurboTax claiming the stimulus rebate for me after I left it blank causing an error on my return, like they did to many others...pos company
Good for you!
And can you imagine how difficult it’s going to be to get someone to answer the phone then as well?!
Still No Change. But I am getting tired of people that have filled like 2/3 weeks ago and saying I have not got my return back. Unlike the rest of us that have been waiting going on 6 weeks and it shows the IRS has not even gotten the return that TT says they have sent. I wonder if I just went to HNR block and did mine again if it would finally get them back.
@dustilelliott Have you reached out to the IRS to see if you could speak with a representative concerning your return? If not, here's how you can reach someone: What if my IRS refund is taking longer than 21 days?
@AshleyLO apparently the most common issue I’ve seen is a error on TT’s end for the stimulus rebate. We answer yes or no and TT software left it unanswered or blank so most returns were pulled into “review”. Now on behalf of TT us early filiers who may need the funds are left in limbo until April 15. Also, IRS phone lines are not even allowing calls, so we need a better internal answer than the copy & paste you guys provide.
IRS told me today should have around 4/10 issue with line 30 stimulus. Which is TT glitch
Sorry when talked to IRS said would have a letter or DD by then because of line 30. They said should fix it self
Unfortunately, TurboTax cannot provide you with any useful information regarding a tax return that has been accepted. If you filed early and claimed the recovery rebate and then received payment, it only seems logical that the IRS would review your return. Some people that qualified for the recovery rebate did not claim it and some people claimed it early and then got a check a few days later. I realize this does you no good this year, but I always try to encourage taxpayers to file as late as possible as the IRS almost always makes changes mid-season.
There was another change made Tuesday (just 2 days ago) regarding AGI and the UE exclusion which will affect thousands of returns that have already been filed. Please see this discussion that details how to work the telephone system prompts to get to a live agent at the IRS. https://intuit.me/2NMQfZ6 @Jdmcass77
There is no glitch with TurboTax and Line 30. TurboTax calculated the amount of stimulus payments you qualified for based on what was entered on your 2020 tax return. Then TurboTax asked you to enter the amounts you received from both payments. If you were shorted, the missing amounts were entered on Line 30. If you received the full amount or more, then nothing was entered on Line 30. @Bill140
I am certainly not accusing anyone here of committing fraud, but you have to be aware that fraud does exist and the IRS in an effort to combat this, reviews returns. Many people claimed that credit as they should have only to receive the stimulus payment days later. All we could do was to advise them to do is wait, but in those cases, a delay in processing is almost guaranteed. They are reviewing recovery rebate claims, some are legit, some are honest mistakes, and some are just not valid. Thankfully or should I say hopefully, this is not a normal tax season.
They continue to issue stimulus payments and tax refunds daily and we are communicating all guidance received to our customers. Keep this link as it is updated continuously. It does not give information about processing tax refunds, as that procedure is the same as it has always been but it does detail issues regarding the latest legislative changes.
Yes I have tried every number plus some! I was finally able to speak to someone when I called to make an appointment. That person did some looking into it and found that They have received it but it’s not in the system because it’s in review. And was told if I don’t receive a letter or refund by April 15th to call again!
I literally filed mine February 3rd and they started accepting them February 12th and mine got got accepted February 16th and it’s been over a month and it still says being processed but yet my bf filed a few days before me through the same thing I did and also was getting a paper check and got his way before i did, it’s so irritating
